On The Verge

On The Verge is a twelve-month leadership program that provides an incubator for developing solutions to community problems. It is On The Verge’s intention to cause ripples in the world, moving the work further through the energy, dreams, and skills of the next generation of community.

VOICES

VOICES has built its reputation among youth as a safe, friendly and non-judgmental environment where transitioning youth can utilize peer-based resources, feel connected, and build a foundation for their futures. Youth staff have designed a healthy, welcoming and lively community center that provides crucial services while also fostering a sense of home and family.

Neighborhood Initiative

The Neighborhood Initiative is a community-led effort to establish a neighborhood where every child claims a future in which all possibilities are real and attainable. The Initiative’s integrated focus on academic achievement, parent engagement and youth leadership results in improved student learning, stronger families and a healthier community.

LGBTQ Connection

LGBTQ Connection is a community-based initiative working to increase Napa County’s awareness, inclusion and support of LGBTQ people of all ages and races. The project works to increase the safety and well being of LGBTQ residents, especially for underserved youth and senior citizens.

Parent University

Parent University provides parents with the tools and knowledge necessary to become more involved in their children’s education, at school and in the community. All classes are offered bilingually, in English and Spanish, and free childcare is provided. Parent University works to eliminate any barriers that might prevent interested parents from participating.

THRIVE Enterprises

THRIVE Enterprises (Transforming Health, Realigning Independence & Valuing Experience) is a work experience program that serves those with barriers to employment. THRIVE offers assists individuals with interview skills, resume building, job placement and coaching within several career pathways, including food production, gardening, clerical and janitorial services.

Innovations Community Center

The Innovations Community Center is the result of On the Move’s Innovations Project, which facilitated conversations about mental illness between mental health providers and consumers. Providers and consumers continue to work together to provide healing to individuals through storytelling, art expression, healthy living, spiritual healing and social connections.

Foodshed Internship Program

The Foodshed Internship Program is unique in providing Napa’s low-income youth and at-risk and underserved populations with work experience so that they can obtain a food handlers’ permit, work in a commercial kitchen and achieve economic self-reliance.
